Writing Advisor

Hallie grew up in London, attending St Pauls’ Girls before going on to study at Columbia University (BA, Comparative Literature) and Oxford University (MSc, Modern South Asian Studies). She is now working towards a PhD in Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Indo-Persian literary culture. She is the recipient of several grants and fellowships, including from the Victoria and Albert Museum and the U.S. Department of Education. At Columbia, Hallie was editor-in-chief of two student publications; at Oxford, she edited a journal of international relations; and as a teaching assistant at UPenn, she works with undergraduates on their academic writing. Her personal experience as a student in both the US and UK education systems, as well as her writing skills, enable her to support students with their written applications as they develop their ideas, successfully highlight their achievements, and articulate what they will bring to their future university community.
