Lily holds a BA (Hons) in English and Related Literature from the University of York. After graduating, Lily worked as a freelance editor, providing technical and stylistic feedback on an upcoming independent novel, and completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. During the pandemic, Lily was also a key worker, providing physical and psychological support to people living with dementia in a care home.
Lily has a particular interest in ecocriticism and her dissertation, written during the first lockdown, focused on visual depictions of nature in the works of contemporary novelist Melissa Harrison. She really enjoys the collaborative element of editing and finding the best explanations for her editorial decisions. Lily brings her caring approach, as well as her skills as a writer and foreign language teacher, to her role in helping students navigate their university admissions processes.
