Tia brings 20 years of writing expertise from her work as a daily newspaper reporter, columnist and editor at a New Jersey newspaper as well as her position as adjunct professor of English and composition at community college in Newark, New Jersey. Tia’s passion for teaching students how to write comes from hours spent teaching herself the skill after graduating from a small, rural high school in Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Swarthmore College and a master’s in 19th Century English Literature from Oxford. She truly enjoys helping students shape their college essays and uncover their own writing skills.
